We all went to Waco to have Christmas with my grandparents the Sat. after Christmas. This made the 5th and final time to open presents! We have had a wonderful Christmas and are very thankful for all of our family and friends.

As we all get ready for Christmas I wanted to wish you all a safe and happy one. We will be doing the East Texas Grand Prix.. that is what I call it! Going to Chad's family Christmas eve and being back in Bryan at noon on Christmas! Just thinking about it makes me tired. I hope you all have a wonderful time with family while celebrating our Lord and savior Jesus Christ!

9 Months Old

Samantha is 9 months old today..... wow! On Monday we went for her check up and she is 19lbs and 29in. I tried to take some pictures of her in front of our Christmas tree! She doesn't like to sit pretty for me anymore.. she has places to go!

It snowed on Wednesday.. which never happens in Bryan, TX! I was so excited to see Samantha's reaction.... I think she thought it was cold! It was such a joy to drive home and see kids making snowmen, snow angels and having snowball fights! I even made a tiny snowman in the back yard... I couldn't help myself!

Samantha is crawling across the room to get to her toy box now. I caught her dumping out all her toys and then trying to get into the box! It was pretty funny to watch. I love some of the expressions she makes now too. She has that "Who Me, and What?" face down!

MY BABY CRAWLED!

I feel so proud and so scared at the same time.. now she can get to things. After leaving my parents house for Thanksgiving Sunday. Samantha and I went to help Aunt Cheryl with her Christmas decorations, while Chad and Uncle Brian ran to the store. We were sitting on the floor and Cheryl pulled out some ribbon she had... That was all it took... off she went! Chad was sad he didn't get to see it for the first time.... but she showed him again that night! So far so really only crawls after things she is not supposed to have! The picture above is me getting her to show her Aunt Heather the next day. Time to start really baby proofing the house!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Samantha's first Thanksgiving was spent with Chad's family in East Texas, and then with my family on Sunday. She got to eat turkey and sweet potato's ... baby food of course! We had a wonderful time with all our family eating, shopping, and decorating for Christmas. I can't wait to see her at Christmas.. it should be fun!

Samantha can finally wear her Astros outfit... now that baseball is over! Sounds about par right! We still had to put it on take some pictures and play with Daddy's glove.

8 Months Old

Wow.. Samantha is 8 months old already. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing our tiny angel home. She is becoming a lot more vocal and mobile. She is crawling but only in reverse... It's really funny to watch her. She has a tooth that finally broken through the skin! We don't like getting teeth... it hurts:( I'm also thankful that God blessed us with great news this month. Samantha's ct- scan was incorrect and she is going to be just fine. God is so Good, I know that what ever challenges we face as a family the Lord will always be there to hold our hands and walk us through it! Here are a few pictures from our Photo shoot!

I said DADDY... Wow I'm getting so big! Samantha had been babbling and da da had come out, but on Friday the 14th I asked her who Chad was and she said da ti! It was so awesome. She hasn't said it as clear as she did that day but we are putting in the record book!

Pumpkin Fairy

Sunday we got to test out Samantha's Halloween outfit, she is a Pumpkin Fairy! Which only seemed fitting because her nickname is Punkin'. I was proud because this is the first thing I have made her and I thought it turned out cute. She loves to sit in the grass, and dig her toes in! And yes she tried to eat her shirt and her skirt.

Hello all,

After seeing some blogs I have decided to try this Blog thing out. I love sharing little bits of our lives and adventures with our family and friends and I hope this will be a great way to do it! I went back and posted some from the past and will try to stay on top of things. Wish me luck!

Picking a Pumpkin for Punkin'

October 19, 2008: Chad and I along with our friends Rob and Lorena took Samantha to the Farm Patch to pick out her very first pumpkin. As always I had the camera ready, and she knows what to do when she sees it! Her personality is blooming more and more each day. We still don't know if she will be laid back like her Daddy or sassy like her Momma! I think she will fit somewhere inbetween.

On 9/23/08 Samantha started daycare. This was a happy and sad day for me. I was able to take her with me to work since she was 3 weeks old. Now at 6 months old she is going to experience all different things. She is going to St. Joe's Eagles Nest and her teacher miss Tiffanee is great!

Samantha had her 6 month pictures taken at specialties photography and Marci did a great job. Nana and Aunt Cheryl came along to help with the smiles. We surprised Daddy with Cowboys pictures... he was happy!

On September 7, 2008 Chad and I dedicated Samantha to Christ at Central Baptist Church in Bryan, TX. After the dedication we had a BBQ at our house to celebrate with all our family.
